Who is DB Web Design

My name is Darryn, and I started DB Web as a Nottinghamshire-based web design and branding company.

After years of working in the industry, and still currently working in the digital space for the NHS, I decided to offer my skills on a freelance basis.

My sole focus is creating affordable WordPress websites and custom graphic design content for start-ups and small businesses.

In this day and age, it is important for any company to have an online presence, and I believe that start-ups and small businesses shouldn’t need to part with precious capital to achieve this. I offer a full range of services from fully responsive web design, custom branding, SEO and website performance reporting.

Responsive Web Design

According to Google, more than 50% of searches are carried out on mobile devices, which in this day and age isn’t too surprising. Making a site mobile responsive is one of the most important web design aspects to ensure that your website is user-friendly, so that customers are encouraged to stay on it.

Google has now started to rank the webpage results based on a website’s mobile usability.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

SEO is how we make sure that your website competes against all the other online competitors to show at the top of Google’s search results. Customers are more likely to click on the top few results that show up in Google.

The main premise of how SEO works is that you need to make sure your website has relevant content for what customers are searching for, it is user-friendly, has fast loading speeds and is super easy to navigate.

SLL Certificate

An SSL certificate gives customers confidence that they are browsing a secure website. More than that it is also important to Google, and it is one of the factors into how high your webpage will rank in potential customers’ search results.

You can tell when a website has a secure SLL Certificate by the padlock next to the domain name.
